We welcome your commissions and want you to understand the risks involved with working with your heirlooms.

Each piece must undergo sandblasting, drilling, power wash, hanging, powder color application and being baked in the kiln. Within these processes some pieces may have solder joints melt causing them to fall apart. Others may have pitting show up on the surface from porous metal, holes appear from thin spots, or warpage. Please remember that these pieces are old and were produced by many different companies with a variety of manufacturing techniques.

We periodically lose pieces in the upcycling process. The highest probability of loss is in any piece which has soldered feet, handles or spouts. It is very difficult to get full tea services through the process with all pieces in the service intact. For reasons of the original manufacturing process we lose over 30% of teapots where the spouts fall off, therefore these are priced at a premium.

BMc Vintage Design Studio does everything possible to provide for a beautiful finished product and we cherish your heirlooms. Our goal is to recreate them into new, food safe, usable pieces that you can pass to the next generation. You and your children will never have to polish the old silver again!

To have your personal pieces considered for transformation please submit the form below. Often we can tell by looking at photographs if the pieces will go through the process well.
